33 Carpenters came out of the blue to help us! And THANK GOODNESS! We had roof damage from a pretty rough storm that blew through Ft. Wayne in July. I had called our insurance company, a few times. An assessor came eventually to inspect and submit a report. The very next day Mike McCray was driving by, spotted our damage, stopped and told me he could also submit a report of the damage, deal with our insurance company start to finish and he was certain he would get the whole roof approved. He knew the who's & what's of the process to get our insurance to work for US! It sounded too good to be true! Yes, we were skeptical.
I requested phone numbers of previous customers in our immediate area so that I could call for references and see their work. "Sure!" All were very pleased with Mike's work and also with the roofing work itself, even a couple years later. True to his pitch to me, he did for them what he told them he would. Very nice to hear!
Our first appraisal only paid $1,300, which was quite disappointing. Fixing just spots on our 23 year old roof would have been awful looking! However, when Mike worked directly with our insurance company, the entire roof was approved for replacement! He knew what he was doing to enable our insurance to work FOR US!
We had several colors to choose from. The insurance sent the first payment installment for them to get started. Their crew was organized, worked cohesively together, stripped the old roof off, tarps were placed around the house to catch debris which was then placed in a large dumper, and all was taken away when they left at the end of day. Their cleanup was complete and very impressive! Nothing was missed. (We had a roofing job done years ago and I picked up nails for weeks!)
33 Carpenters is a great company! Mike McRae was excellent to work with. He was consistent and patient to explain the somewhat intimidating process of dealing with our insurance. He was promptly available for all phone calls and questions. He did for us what he said he would do! I've had people tell me they will do a certain job and halfway through tell me they never agreed to what we thought was to be done. There haven't been little surprises or unexpected expenses we weren't told about. Mike has integrity! That means a great deal to us!
I will HIGHLY RECOMMEND 33 Carpenters to everyone! And I hope you get Mike McRae to work with you! He is the greatest!
33 Carpenters did such a great job on our rental, we called them back to re-roof our own home. June 25, 2023 a storm rolled through, we were in the basement and could hear the hail hitting our roof! I called Mike McRae the next day. He again worked with our insurance to get our roof, gutters and garage door replaced. He did all the reports and pictures the insurance required. The roofing crew did a great job with the tear off, new shingles and clean up after. The crew was pleasant, Mike was thorough and always called right back if we had questions. Top marks all around! Thank you for being there for us the 2nd time around!

These guys are amazing! We needed a new roof due to damage from high winds. Mike McRae and his crew handled everything. I was walked through the full process, including inspecting the damage, dealing with my insurance company, and choosing the materials for the new roof. They made what usually seems like a huge task, incredibly simple. The new roof looks amazing and was done professionally and quickly. Had a great experience with 33 carpenters. Derek curry was our project manager and he was there every step of the way. We had storm damage to our roof and he dealt with our insurance agent and walked through the whole process. The guys who replaced our roof were quick and professional they did an outstanding job on everything. We couldn’t be happier. I would recommend 33 carpenters to anyone!

We couldn't be happier with the work that 33 Carpenters did. Good communication by our project manager, Sam Silver. Sam was excellent and did all the foot work for us. The crew Sam had was great and the quality of their work was great as well. They worked in a timely manner and did a wonderful cleanup. I would highly recommend Sam and his crew. Now I have a beautiful roof.
