Basche’s Martial Arts has helped me loose weight. I didn’t even have to eat salads or anything I just ate normally. instead of sitting, eating, and sleeping, I decided to do martial arts. Then, when I signed up and took my first class, all the people who take classes there are so nice. Greeted me with pleasure. If you mess up or anything they don’t judge you. They cheer you on and clap! The sensei makes us work hard but to me that’s a good thing. There’s also another teacher there and her name is Ms Mary. She’s really nice and funny! If they don’t going hard on us how would I learn anything or become stronger? I also gained muscle, before I was plain, nothing in sight. Been here for a year and have progressed. Thank you Basche’s Martial Arts. I recommend this place. It’s the best in Fort Wayne!

We love the atmosphere. Everyone works really hard with the kids. My children have learned a lot about respect, self control, and their self esteem has skyrocketed. Adding more to this review since we've been there for about six months. My kids have continued to improve. I have one wild child and one very shy. Karate has helped them both in different ways. My shy child has started to find her voice and my wild child has learned the best ways to manage her energy. Can't recommend this enough.

My daughter is finishing up her first month of classes and she always looks forward to going. She’s learning discipline, focus, respect, and gaining confidence. It’s heart warming to see the Sensei, Ms. Miller, and the student instructors working with and leading their classes on the fundamentals. I’m confident enough in the staff I enrolled by of my children in their Summer Camp program.

I had high hopes for our 11 yr old son attending Basche’s. Our kiddo needed a community and a mentor. He needed to gain confidence in himself and learn self control. Steve Basche (business owner and “sensei”) is very harsh and didn’t treat my son well. He would yell at him, talk down to him, and scare him. My son came home crying a few times. And sadly, he really trusted the sensei and Steve majorly let him down. Our son ranked up 2 belts and attended classes 4-5 times a week. It was a hard decision for my son but he decided on his own that Steve couldn’t be trusted and didn’t earn his respect. Basche’s has a few wonderful instructors and they are so great with the children. But Steve talks down to his staff and doesn’t show them respect. He didn’t show honor or respect to myself or my son. After the months that we spent there, our family felt like he cared more about money than anything. He constantly asks for more money or asks for you to leave additional reviews. The karate that my son learned in the 4 months he was there wasn’t very much and wasn’t any technical martial arts. If your child is interested in true martial arts, I suggest Unity Martial Arts. My son has been doing ATA for a couple of months and has learned SO much more, I’ve spent less money, the instructors made him feel loved and boost his confidence, and he has found excitement for martial arts again. He walked out from his tour of the facility where he met the owner and said “he is so nice and I feel welcome here”. Basches didn’t do that. 🥺

Only a week into the classes and I have already seen a difference in my daughter. She is more disciplined and respectful already. She cannot wait to get back to class each day and loves being at Basche's. The sensei speaks wisdom to the kids that is helpful coming from an outsider. Sensei Basche has become a good role model for my child and Ms. Mary is amazing! Can't lose anything for trying it out by using their free week offer. That way you can see if it is a good fit for your child or not. Highly recommend this place.
