I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sakura for lunch, and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time. The highlight of the meal was the edamame, which was simply amazing—fresh, perfectly seasoned, and a great start to our lunch. The fried rice was another standout, flavorful without being greasy, which is a rarity. The steak-to-vegetable ratio was perfect, providing a well-balanced and satisfying dish.
The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, which added to the overall pleasant dining experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, providing impeccable service throughout our visit. Every aspect of the meal exceeded my expectations, and I left feeling completely satisfied. Ambiance… amazing. Very quiet and zen… not even music. I enjoy that kind of experience for sushi.
Service has always been great.
The fish is fresh and tastes great. The maki… it’s a style I don’t particularly care for, which makes me sad because I love the ambiance and service. I’m more of a traditional Japanese sushi maki person… not Americanized with all the sauce and mayo and soy sauce.
I REALLY wanted to like it more, so I went back multiple times. I would go back if I’m just getting nigiri or sashimi.

This is our local go to sushi place. The sushi is always very fresh and good. The hibachi is also excellent. Service is always excellent.

Best sushi in Indiana. I come here once a year and make a point to have sushi here each time. Pleasant staff and great food!

Tonight's carryout order was disappointing at best. Cold sushi sitting on top of hot noodles in the same bag, partially cooking the tuna roll. The tako su looked so bad we didn't eat it (photo for reference) and only included a few slivers of cucumber. Veggie roll, ordered with no avocado, only had cucumber and pickle. Udon noodles with beef had a few pieces of tough meat, overcooked broccoli and absolutely no flavor or sauce.
